The Ivy House Hotel is the perfect place to spend special occasions throughout the year. The hotel is tastefully decorated, occupies a listed Georgian house in Hawkshead, and only has six double bedrooms creating a relaxed atmosphere where our guests feel they have this small hotel to themselves.
Within the house we have our own fully licensed restaurant and full time chef meaning we can offer freshly made local produce food and cater for special occasions.

Catch of the Week - Lakeland Fishing Break
With fishing passes to 14 great lakes the Ivy House Hotel has put a great break together for 2 or 3 nights, including dinner from our specials menu. You can even bring your catch back with you and our chef will prepare and cook it just how you like it. Perhaps you would like to join the chef in the kitchen to create your own special dish? You can then join your friends and family in the restaurant to relax and enjoy a perfect evening.
To end the perfect night in the winter months, you can relax in our resident lounge by the log fire, chatting about the biggest fish ever; yes the one that got away!

Lakeland 3 Day Break
This great value offer is available from the 1st June to the 23rd December for mid week stays only (Sunday through to Thursday inclusive). Guests pay for 2 nights bed and breakfast (full English) and get the third night free. The rate is £100 per person (offer not available for single occupancy).
Christmas 3 Day Break
Spend this Christmas at the cosy Ivy House Hotel and Restaurant. The offer is available on the nights of 24th, 25th, and 26th of December 2009. The rate is £350 per person for the 3 days (offer not available for single occupancy).
The offer includes:
- 24th December, arrival when we provide afternoon tea and an then evening meal at our restaurant
- 25th December, we provide breakfast, traditional Christmas lunch (5 courses please see restaurant page for menu) and buffet in the evening. There is Christmas Day evening entertainment in the lounge with log fire including Raffle, Quiz, Bingo, and Texas holdem poker for Chips
- 26th December we provide, brunch and evening meal
- 27th December we provide breakfast
New Year 3 Day Break
Spend this New Year at Ivy House Hotel and Restaurant located in Hawkshead. The offer is available on the nights of 31st of December, 1st and 2nd of January 2010. The rate is £420 per person for the 3 days (offer not available for single occupancy or children).
The offer includes:
- 31st December, arrival when we provide afternoon tea and an then enjoy a 7 course evening dinner at our restaurant (please see restaurant page for menu)
- 1st January 2010, we provide brunch and an evening meal
- 2nd January, we provide breakfast, Afternoon tea, and an evening meal.
